The internship aims at developing legal research and writing skills of the participants, by using a project-based methodology.
Candidates will need to submit a research topic upon application.
The internship will guide them through a series of activities and exercises on the areas of logical reasoning, critical thinking and analysis, legal writing methods and use of sources.
The internship is not paid, but students’ research articles meeting the required quality standards will be published in one of PCLRP’s publication platforms.
If, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, restrictions on gatherings and/or academic activities will still be in place, the internship will be held online. Details on how to join the online sessions will be provided before 4 August 2020.
Students will not need to come every day as the internship is based on the assignment-feedback model. There will be fewer input sessions and several assignments and exercises they will need to complete on their own, for which your presence is not required.
To apply for the internship, students are required to submit the following documents by email to pclrp@outlook.com:
Their CV;
An original 500-word writing sample;
A prospective legal topic which they would like to research and write their article about.
Please remember that, according to academic writing rules, plagiarism is not tolerated. All submissions we receive are subjected to strict plagiarism checking and students are therefore advised to make yourself familiar with the meaning of plagiarism and its forms by following the link below: https://www.ox.ac.uk/students/academic/guidance/skills/plagiarism?wssl=1
